As the Toronto Blue Jays continue their push for a playoff spot, they will be in tough the next three days as they take on the New York Yankees. However, they are hoping Leaf superstar Auston Matthews will bring them some good luck Tuesday night as he is scheduled to throw out the first pitch.

Matthews, along with Mitch Marner, Michael Bunting and a handful of other Leafs over the years have always made it a point to go out and support the other Toronto franchises. They've been seen courtside frequently at Raptors games and the occasional Jays game as well. The last Leaf to throw out a first pitch was Marner, back in 2017 against Tampa Bay and that game didn't end so well for the Jays as they lost 8-1.

Let's hope Matthews can reverse the fortunes of Marner's first pitch and help the Jays inch closer to clinching a playoff birth.
