I don't think it's any secret that energetic winger Michael Bunting has a bit of a mouth on him. On a nightly basis, Leafs Nation watches Bunting go at anyone, large or small, whether it's on the ice or from the bench. As a rule of thumb, I never let my mouth write checks that my ass can't cash. In Bunting's case, I don't think he cares much either way. His mouth just never stops moving.

Last night, we saw Mark Scheifele end up as Bunting's latest target of a verbal assault following a play in which teammate Timothy Liljegren was struck in the head by a puck. Scheifele told the officials that he felt that the whistle blew a little too quickly while the Jets had possession. That didn't sit too well with Morgan Rielly, Michael Bunting or any of the other Leafs out on the ice or on the bench. In case you missed it, here's Bunting's reaction to Scheifele's whining to the officials.

Well, the Leafs were back at practice on Friday, less than 24 hours after picking up a 4-1 victory over the Jets and Bunting found himself mic'd up for the session. Following practice, Bunting's linemate, Auston Matthews, was asked what we could expect to hear coming from Bunting if he was mic'd up in an actual game setting. His reply was amazing and surprises absolutely no one.

You don't need to be a fantastic lip-reader to know what Bunting is saying to his opponents on any given night. Let's just say it revolves around a lot of four letters words. Matthews, like the rest of us, I'm sure, has a lot of fun watching Bunting do what he does on a game-to-game basis - especially when it revolves around going after someone who is trying to bait Matthews into dropping his gloves.

Should the Leafs arrange to have Michael Bunting mic'd up for a game and then put the censored footage up on social media?
