The injuries have piled up for the Leafs during camp - some long term and some short term. Fortunately, the Buds received some good news on the injury front. Forward Pierre Engvall is skating at practice this morning with Group 2, which is encouraging.

Scheduled to be re-evaluated on Monday for his foot/ankle injury, Engvall has not yet been active in camp. He has mainly been skating alone or with other injured Leafs. With this news, we could see him return as early as this week when the Leafs face the Montreal Canadians as long as he's cleared on Monday. More likely that he'll sneak a few practices in before making it into game action though.

The 2014 seventh round pick (188 overall) will look to build on his best season yet last year where he played 78 games and had a total of 35 points, including 15 goals. The Swede should see an ATOI increase this season, which should set him up for another solid year.
