After splitting their double-header against the Sens on Saturday and an off-day at camp yesterday, the Leafs returned to their practice facility to resume training camp. This morning at camp, the Leafs changed up their groupings from what we saw last week, as they prepare to make the first round of cuts this week.

In Group 1, the "Core 4" of Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, WIlliam Nylander and John Tavares have been reunited, along with Michael Bunting, Morgan Rielly and both Ilya Samsonov and Matt Murray. Given that the Leafs wanted to give Nick Robertson every opportunity at camp, it is somewhat surprising that he is in Group 2, away from the majority of the Leafs' top 6.

There shouldn't be too many cuts following today's skate, if any, but it is likely that Fraser Minten will be sent back to Kamloops of the WHL. The Leafs don't play again until Wednesday when they take on the Habs and I would expect the roster to be thinned out dramatically by the end of the week.
