Sidney Crosby comments on close friend Nathan MacKinnon winning a Stanley Cup

Sidney Crosby has had the opportunity to celebrate 3 separate Stanley Cup victories through streets of Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. After attending those 3, Nathan MacKinnon gets to have his own parade through the streets of his hometown.

Following the Avs and MacKinnon defeating Tampa Bay last night, Crosby had this to say about MacKinnon. "I am really happy for Nate. I know how much it means to him and his family. I've seen how hard he's worked to achieve this and glad that he's got rewarded and gets to experience everything that comes with winning. It's special. "


As a guy that has won everywhere he's played, Crosby obviously knows how special these moments are. One thing that he understands more than most though is how hard it is to get one chance at a Cup, let alone 3 or 4 like he and the Penguins have had. He and MacKinnon have trained together for a long time and it's nice to see another Nova Scotia native finally be rewarded for years of hard work.
