Vegas Golden Knights' asset management is raising some major questions about their front office

During free agency this summer, reports had surfaced about the Vegas Golden Knights having issues with signing players. The biggest concern from the UFAs was that signing a contract in Vegas doesn't really mean much since the team never honours their end of the deal.

What's the use of going through the courting period with the Golden Knights' GM, Kelly McCrimmon, and signing a contract only to have Vegas turn around and trade you away for essentially nothing a short time later? Doesn't give anyone a real vote of confidence.

Since that report came out, there have been a lot of questions raised about the competency of Vegas' front office - McCrimmon in particular. How's this for poor asset management?

A savvy NHL GM would UNDOUBTEDLY have come away with something of note for all of these players - even if it's just a draft pick or a prospect that still resides within the system. But not Vegas. In fact, the Golden Knights have more assets remaining from the Ryan Reaves trade to New York than they do with every player on this list COMBINED, according to Puck Empire.

Embarrassing stuff.
