Former Leafs winger Darcy Tucker shares unique Tie Domi story

In the early 2000s, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators engaged in some iconic playoff series, with the Leafs winning them all. On a recent episode of Spittin' Chiclets, former Leafs fan favourite Darcy Tucker shared a story from their 2002 series that saw Tie Domi help the Leafs win the series in a very unusual way.

To hear Tucker say that was the only time he saw Domi bleed is somewhat shocking when you consider the role that Domi played throughout his career.

While Domi had just 4 points in 19 playoff games, he certainly did his part to help the Leafs stave off elimination as they trailed 3-2 in the series. That year, the Leafs ultimately fell to the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals, which is the farthest the Leafs have been in the playoffs since the 1998-1999 season when they also lost in the Conference Finals.
